STUDIO DINER SATISFIES A SWEET TOOTH!

Studio Diner came through for us again for my friends and I to help satisfy our craving for sweets. After having a wonderful dinner at a nearby Japanese restaurant, we decided to head over to nearby Studio Diner and indulge in their homemade shakes and desserts. We’ve all been there before and it would be hubby’s first visit. I wanted to try their 50/50 shake (creamy vanilla ice cream paired with orange juice) which my friend Semo had ordered on a previous visit and I was so looking forward to finally indulging in this unique shake reminiscent of the 50/50 bars I used to eat during my childhood.

We were able to secure a table right away. Normally there’s a bit of a wait. Joining me were hubby and childhood friends Semo, Jessie, Glyn and Norberto. Dessert was on all of our minds and I stuck with my original choice (and so did Semo)–their 50/50 Shake! Both hubby and Glyn ordered the Root Beer Float while Jessie settled on the Gone Bananas shake made with vanilla ice cream, peanut butter and bananas! Norberto went with the Carrot Cake with a drizzle of caramel and for good measure, we ordered the Lava Cake to share, a chocolate cake filled with hot fudge and served with two scoops of vanilla ice cream and finished off with whipped cream and chocolate syrup.

It really hit the spot while we reminisced about our younger days and shared memories from our school days. Good thing that Studio Diner is open 24 hours and that we no longer have a curfew to worry about!
